How to achieve your goals and dreams
Achieving your goals and dreams is actually closer than you think. Sometimes we set goals for ourselves and then get frustrated to find out we aren't actually achieving them. However you will be pleased to know there is something you can do about it.
Believe it or not fears are actually a way of your brain trying to protect you. In fact they have been passed down to you from generations of your ancestors.
Just imagine back in caveman times you are sitting in a cave and think “I could do with a stroll tonight” you step out of your cave and blam, eaten by a dinosaur. *Of course we know humans and dinosaurs didn’t exist at the same time but you get the picture.
The more cautious cave person might have thought “Hmm, not sure it looks totally safe out tonight so I’m going to stay in here” and in doing so survived.
Luckily we don’t have to worry about being eaten outside our caves anymore, but that inbuilt thinking still exists. The things we fear might differ from individual to individual but the goal is the same, to keep you safe.
Now this might seem odd but this fear thinking will lean towards the illusion of safety even if it’s in spite of doing something that might better you.
For example, you might want to meet the partner of your dreams, but the fear of approaching someone attractive is too much to bear.
Your mind likes you to stay in your comfort zone, but there is something you can do about it.
