Positive energy and how to attract it in your life
Have you noticed how some people just light up a room as soon as they enter – they simply radiate positive energy and others around them absorb those feelings and respond in an equally positive way. Compare that to a person with a victim mentality who gives out feelings of anger and hopelessness and the reverse is true.
Whether you realise it or not we humans have a primeval instinct that detects the feelings of those we meet. We all have the ability to pick up on those feelings and emotions and instinctively make judgements on those people.
Without doubt, if you want to succeed in anything you have to develop and attract positive energy into your life to be the person you want to be. Even if you are naturally shy and introverted it is not as difficult or as daunting as it first seems.
To get things into perspective you first have to choose to be that person. Write down a complete specification of the individual you intend to be, destroy that specification in the knowledge and faith that the universe has got the message and then develop the strategy to make it all possible.
The strategy, a key part of powerful positive thinking, is the action that will help you deliver the person that is already there. It means rejecting irrational fears and anxieties; no longer dwelling in the past, being open minded, tolerant and slow to anger.
Positive energy also demands enthusiasm for life. If you care passionately about something others will lock into that enthusiasm, drive and commitment and will offer you support and will be prepared to listen to what you have to say.
Try to avoid negative people whenever you can. Without realising it, they are only concerned with dragging you down to their level. Help and be sympathetic to the needy and those requiring genuine assistance but keep away from the moaners and complainers.
As positive person who is calm and measured you will inspire those around you, but try not to worry too much if you’re not feeling that good or happy all of the time. No one can walk around with a permanent grin on their face.
When you are feeling down and want to restore that positive energy, here are a few tips that will help to change your thoughts. The easiest is to focus on all the good things you have and be grateful for them – your health, family, financial security – whatever it is that is delivering for you - then remember to say thank you.
Avoid concentrating on the negatives in your life. By thinking about them you give them energy the universe and the law of attraction will assume that’s what you want -so get them out of your head.
No one likes a poor me victim, a gossip, jealous individuals or someone who seems to be in a permanently bad mood, so concentrate instead on being pleased for others successes and achievements and support and treat them in the way that you would want to be treated.
For positive energy to radiate from you then you have to learn to like yourself. You are a unique individual and very special in your own way. You need to accept that – and when you do others will see and appreciate your qualities.
You also have to learn how to stop worrying. Most people when they have a problem always imagine the worst case scenario – it rarely happens – so try to keep everything in perspective.
Finally, no one expects you to change overnight. You have to work at it, accept the odd failures and setbacks, but never forget that the main objective is to turn on that positive energy in your life – and it starts now.
