Restart Your Life Again

There are moments in life when you look around and realise that the life you are living isn't the life you want anymore. A relationship has ended. A career has changed. A dream has disappeared. Or you have simply reached a point where you know that something has to be different. When that happens, it is easy to believe that you have failed, ut starting again isn't failure. Sometimes it is the bravest decision you can make.

We can become so attached to the past that we forget something important: yesterday cannot be changed, but tomorrow has not happened yet. Whatever has gone wrong, whatever choices you regret and whatever opportunities you believe you have missed, there is still a decision you can make about what happens next.

Restarting your life doesn't mean throwing everything away. It might mean changing direction. It might mean letting go of something that has been holding you back. It might mean finally doing something you have talked yourself out of for years and you don't have to know exactly where the journey will end. You only need to be prepared to take the first step.

This is where positive thinking becomes more than repeating encouraging words. It is about recognising that your past does not have to become a permanent definition of your future. You are not broken. You are not too old. You have not missed your only opportunity.

Life can change because you can change the decisions you make from this moment onwards. So if you need to start again, start. There is no shame in pressing the reset button. Your next chapter could be the one you have been waiting for.
