Thank You, I Am Filled with Love

Gratitude can change the way we see our lives. It is easy to focus on what is missing. We think about the things we want, the goals we haven't reached and the parts of life we wish were different. In doing so, we can overlook how much we already have. “Thank you, I am filled with love” is a reminder to pause and recognise what is already present. 

Being grateful doesn't mean pretending everything is perfect. Life can be difficult, disappointing and uncertain. You can want more from your life while still appreciating what you have today.

There is an important difference between ambition and dissatisfaction. Ambition asks, “What could I achieve next?” Dissatisfaction tells us, “What I have will never be enough.” Gratitude gives us another way of thinking.

It encourages us to notice the people who care about us, the experiences that have shaped us, the opportunities we have been given and even the small moments that can easily pass unnoticed.

Sometimes we are so busy searching for the next thing that we forget to appreciate where we are standing. And gratitude isn't only about what we receive. It can also be about recognising what we give. A kind word, a helping hand, a conversation or a moment of encouragement can have a greater impact than we realise.

You are not broken because you want more. But don't allow the search for more to convince you that what you already have has no value.

Stop for a moment. Look around you. Notice what is good. And say, thank you. Because sometimes the greatest change in our lives begins when we realise that we are already more fortunate, more loved and more capable than we had allowed ourselves to believe.
